CKL Refinery Corrosion Control - Distillation

This distillation course is the first in a series of refinery corrosion control courses designed to break down major refinery units into an electronic corrosion control document. Each course groups equipment & piping of similar materials, operating in similar conditions, & with similar damage mechanisms, into a number of corrosion loops. For each loop we will cover a process description, corrosion loop description, material selection, applicable corrosion mechanisms, & integrity operating limits. We will see CSB videos that explain refinery damage mechanisms that led to major industrial incidents, & discuss design, operation & inspection monitoring that can be used to help avoid these failures.
